The reputation is well deserved, as the scenery along the Li River is simply indescribable. It's sparkling waters wind between spectacular peaks, bamboo forests, and cultivated rice farms. You'll see wandering water buffalos and rock formations that have inspired artists for thousands of years. The small town of Yangshuo is rapidly overtaking Guilin City as the best place to immerse oneself in this beautiful countryside. The heart of Yangshuo is West Street, a place of leisure and excellent shopping, fine restaurants and comfortable family hotels. There are no tall buildings spoil the view. Nor are there any cars to pollute the air.
China's traditional culture and western culture live in perfect harmony in here. West Street is like a magnet of diversity where you'll meet people from the 4 corners of the earth. The locals have even come to call it Foreigner Street and in true entrepreneurial spirit they have learned to speak English in greater numbers than any other place in China.
The Morning Sun Hotel is located just off the famous West Street, a walk of just 60 meters puts you at West Street center. Our completely remodeled rooms offer 4 star comfort with elegant classical styling, large screen TV, and ultra modern bathrooms. The rooms are organized around a central atrium. And with only 34 rooms you can expect a personal touch often missing in larger places. We hope you'll slow down enough to enjoy a nice cup of tea in our garden and stroll up to the rooftop for magnificent mountain views in all directions. Great
locationIt doesn't get any better than this. As you leave the hotel, turn left and within a minute you'll find yourself at West Street center. With more than a dozen western style restaurants to choose from you can almost certainly find what you want, no matter how your mood swings.
Turn right instead of left as you leave the hotel and you enter the real China. Rice noodles, a Yangshuo specialty! These traditional restaurants may not offer the most elegant dining but they make up for it with delicious food and incredibly low prices.

Welcome to the Morning Sun Hotel. On October 1st, 2002 we officially opened for business and we completely remodeled in 2012. We're very proud of this, our first hotel. We wanted to build a place where people would feel at home. A place that blends traditional Chinese architecture and atmosphere with the best of western comfort and convenience. A place that people would remember and recommend to their friends. The result is a hotel that we believe is the best in Yangshuo. Now, 10 years later we've added rooms and completely remodeled the original ones. We hope you'll give us the chance to show it off.
